This is a new song I wrote titled "Change My Story." A couple of weeks ago my pastor Jim Supp preached from Psalm 13. It was one of the most impactful sermons in my life. Psalm 13 is about the grace of God and His love: God's loving way of sustaining us in times of trouble and providing for our needs. In life's most trying times, when even our family and friends desert us, we can rely on God to hear our cries and to help us in every circumstance. The song is sung from the perspective of the person who acknowledges the existence of God but struggles to fully embrace Him yet. They find themselves longing, reaching out to God, and questioning whether He hears their pleas in desperation. Throughout the song, the individual reflects on their past mistakes and the heavy burden of their sins, allowing feelings of unworthiness to cloud their desire for connection with God. They grapple with the idea of divine forgiveness, caught between their longing for change and the belief that their past may disqualify them from receiving God’s love. Eventually, through introspection and revelation, they begin to understand a vital truth: genuine repentance and accepting Jesus's unconditional love and salvation are the keys to fundamental transformation. It’s a realization that no matter how deep their regrets or how far they feel from God, He is always ready to embrace them with open arms, offering a comforting refuge from their despair. The song addresses a broader theme that resonates with many, including Christians who may experience moments of doubt or feel disconnected from God. It emphasizes that even in our most resounding cries of lament and desperation, we can have profound encounters with him. In these vulnerable moments, when our hearts are laid bare, we can express our sorrow for our sins and commit to turning away from them, striving to become what God intended. This process allows us to experience God’s enduring presence and transformative power, guiding us toward healing and renewal and instilling hope and inspiration in our hearts. This is a cover that I did of the amazing song from Voy Vance called" Guiding Light" This is a cover of a song that differs significantly from my previous works. The song I'm covering is "Guiding Light" by Vance Joy. This piece resonates with me as it encapsulates various themes related to guidance and support, often intertwined with notions of faith. It is not a Christian song, but I relate to this song in many ways in terms with my relationship with God. This song speaks to my experiences when I sometimes feel disoriented or lost in life. I've encountered moments when uncertainty looms over me, and during those times, I find solace in the belief that God is always present, ready to guide and correct my path. His presence gives me the strength to navigate challenges and helps me rediscover the direction He desires for my life. For me, God truly embodies the concept of a guiding light. I am excited to share a new cover of my favorite songs "You've Already Won" by Shane and Shane. I recorded another version of this song about eight months ago when I began my journey into singing and playing the guitar. This song was played during an acoustic night of worship, and I loved it so much that I came home and learned it in one night, and uploaded it to YouTube, and that video really helped jumpstart this channel. In uncertain and chaotic times, it is comforting to remember that God is in control. Believing in His power helps us understand everything that happens under His watchful eye. When we trust in His plan, we can face challenges with peace and confidence. His power does not waver, providing us with comfort and support. I have gone through some very rough times lately, and songs like these are great reminders that God will not forsake His children. No matter what challenges we face or how lost we may feel, we can always turn to the Lord with our troubles and requests. He eagerly invites all of His children to approach Him, no matter the circumstances, ready to share in our pain and struggles. As our great Comforter, He stands by us, never leaving or forsaking us. I have discovered incredible strength in praying to the Lord; whenever I feel overwhelmed, He consistently provides the support I need. While life can present its difficulties, it’s empowering to remember that we find profound purpose and meaning with Him. We can embrace the peace that comes from knowing He is not a distant figure — He is deeply engaged in every aspect of our lives, guiding and shaping us according to His wonderful plans for each of us. So let’s hold on to hope, for better days are ahead as we walk this journey with Him! In John 15:13, Jesus says, "No one has greater love than this: to lay down his life for his friends". We all make mistakes, whether from weakness, bad choices, or rebellion. When we genuinely repent, we can always turn to God for forgiveness. His mercy and grace are always there, ready to welcome us back and give us a fresh start. As we reflect on our experiences, let’s also be thankful for God's deep love and forgiveness that comforts us during tough times. This forgiveness brings relief and hope, showing us that no matter our past, we can always find a new beginning in God. "Let the children of Zion rejoice in their King" (Psalm 149:2). This verse encourages the people of Zion—representing those who follow God—to celebrate and find joy in their King. "To all who received Him and believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12). This passage explains the Christian belief that faith in Jesus Christ allows people to become children of God. It highlights the importance of acceptance and belief in faith. "Now to the eternal, immortal, invisible King, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen" (1 Timothy 1:17). This statement praises God’s everlasting nature, recognizing His power and greatness. He is the one true God who deserves eternal honor and glory. I am a child of the King! If you believe in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you are one too. Here’s an important truth: Your heavenly Father, the King of Kings, loves you unconditionally and cares for you without fail. His love is steady and eternal, providing comfort and guidance in every part of your life. Remember that you are cherished and valued as a child of God in good times and challenging times. Rejoice in this privilege; it brings great joy and comfort to our lives. The apostle John, writing about Jesus, states, "To all who received Him, and to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12). Here's the fact: If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord and are following Him, you are a child of the King!

The lyrics resonate deeply with me, reflecting my personal faith journey in God. It brings me immense joy to honor God through music. I feel incredibly blessed to have a loving God who embraces us unconditionally, regardless of our mistakes or the various challenges we face in life. He is our King, and I celebrate this profound truth daily. In a world that often feels overwhelming, we don’t have to navigate our struggles alone; Jesus loves each of us personally and desires only the best for our lives. God demonstrated His love for humanity by sending His Son to die for our sins, offering us a pathway to salvation. Salvation is a precious and free gift available to all who accept it, and I am grateful for the grace and hope it brings. I thought I would have fun and try something different with one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite movies of all time "O Brother Where Art Thou" “Man of Constant Sorrow” is a traditional American folk song first recorded by Dick Burnett in 1913. It remains uncertain whether Burnett actually wrote the song. One claim is that an earlier version came from Ireland in the late 19th century. Burnett gave an interview near the end of his life and in it he said he really couldn’t remember if he wrote it or heard it and took in on as his own. I have recently covered the beautiful Chris Renzema song "I Don't Want to Go." This song reminds us to put God first in everything we do and that He will keep us safe and protected. I need to remind myself of this regularly. I have been struggling with some things lately, and this song brings me peace and hope in the Father for guidance and strength. I grew up as a pastor's kid, and my dad was a worship pastor who used to sing and play guitar. He often sang this song, but I didn't appreciate it until I became a Christian a few years ago.
